Digital badges

Digital certification for every completed module

For every module that a trainee or mentor completes in NASBTT Learn, the app automatically awards a digital badge and printable certificate. Since 2020 NASBTT Learn has issued 115,000 badges to keen trainees and mentors - that's more than 70 every day! It's a hugely popular feature and one that our users have always been grateful for.

Motivation and evidence

Learners love receiving badges because the reward for completing a course is motivating and keeps them coming back for more. Completing nearly 100 courses is not unheard of! It's also incredibly helpful to be able to share badges or print certificates to show evidence of learning. Sometime SCITTs design their learning record around collecting NASBTT Learn certificates.

Open standard technology

NASBTT Learn badges are Open Badges, a digital standard for issuing verifiable, sharable awards in digital format. Once awarded they are presented in a digital 'backpack' or wallet form where they can be shared with trainers, posted on social media, added to LinkedIn profiles and more. They can also easily be moved from one backpack to another. All our badges also come with a downloadable, printable certificate which some people prefer to share.

Automatic, available in the app

Our badges are issued automatically on completion of a NASBTT Learn course. They come from Anspear/Certify (our technology providers) by email. There is also a link to the user's Certify backpack in the NASBTT Learn app so the user can admire their full collection quickly and easily.
