NB It's possible for learners to have all of these statuses at the same time.

| Tutor | A senior mentor or manager who is responsible for a particular group(s) of learners. Has a right to view the activity of learners in their group(s), and only for courses assigned to that group. Can set courses as To Do for learners in that group. |
| Organisation tracker | An organisation leader who has a right to see the activity of all users in the organisation. |
| Administrator | A user with permission to edit users and groups and to assign courses across the whole organisation. |
How do users become learnres, tutors and administrators?
Learners are users who are in a group as a learner.
To make a user into a tutor, add the user to a group as a tutor. A user can be a tutor of multiple groups.
Users who should be able to see all groups and learners in the organisation - as well as tutors - can be made into an organisation tracker. Select the user in Edit mode, click Status and click Organisation tracker. Organisation trackers appear in your top-level list of Tutors.
Users in no group are only visible to organisation trackers.
